Long story short had a $500 MIDEA air conditioner delivered in our hallway. One neighbor said they saw it in the hallway when it was delivered. When I looked an hour later it was gone from the hallway. I asked around our hall to see if anyone saw it and they said no, and no one had any fancy new AC units in their window.

Well, I look at the building next door and there in the 2nd floor window is a brand new MIDEA AC just like mine. It looks pristine, with no dirt or anything in it, and it still has the yellow sticker on the side like it was just opened.

Also I have a photo of the front of the building from a month ago and there is no window AC in their window a month ago.

So, 70% sure it is ours, but not sure what we can do about it. I knocked on their door, no answer. Asked the super about it and they said “It couldn’t be them, I know them and they wouldn’t do that” and refused to check/ask.

Anyone been in a similar situation?

Update: Walmart is giving me a full refund. Still annoying to not have the AC but at least I’m not out any money either. I hope the people are enjoying their free air conditioner.
