Hi all. I can’t believe I’m posting this. This will probably be the dumbest question ever asked here, but the matter is completely serious. I will be in the US for the first time in three months and I am visiting NYC and DC on this occasion. As a child I was obsessed with possums – you can’t meet them in Europe, so I only know them from books or now – the internet. Given that I’m going to a country where possums are seen frequently, I would have the only opportunity in my life to see one. Do you perhaps know of any places, such as animal shelters/rescue centers, where a tourist could see an opossum up close or touch one? Of course I am not autistic haha. Please, I really count on honest answers.
