I (f23) will be living with my boyfriend in May. I already live in NYC and I currently work at Starbucks making about $30-$32,000 a year. We are going to be living in Astoria and I’ll be paying $1000 toward rent. I am worried this is too high as this will essentially be two entire pay checks a month for me. I know there are plenty of people who live here making this much (or less), so I’m wondering how to stretch my money as far as I can. Such as how to find the best deals on essentials and any other means of making things cheaper.
