WE LIVE IN NYC. This is NOT a tourism question, but it won’t let me post. We have lived in NYC for 10+ years, but have never seen a Broadway show. My husband is nearly 7′ tall, so we rarely go to concerts etc. because he hates getting stares and dirty looks. He’s very conscious of not ruining someone else’s event. I’m short so it’s not worth it for me to be in the way back, therefore we avoid going together. My folks are visiting for Mother’s Day, and I got us excellent Orchestra seats for a Broadway show. My husband is anxious that whoever will be behind him is paying for premium seats, only to have an obstructed view. Even if he slouches, he’s very concerned. What is the etiquette here? Surely he’s allowed to still exist and enjoy live shows alongside his family, even as a giant? I didn’t want to get seats in the way back when this is a treat for my mom. Are we assholes to sit near the front with him?
