Hello! This morning a cop barricade truck hit my car. I was at a red light and he came up on my driver side and just plowed right through taking my headlight off and some dents and scratches. He didn’t put his siren on and went through a red light. It definitely could have been way worse and I’m just really shook up. His truck was huge. Anyway, I’ve already started my insurance claim but when I called the police to make a report they said the guy that hit me would call to take the report. The cop that hit me calls and asks for my information but never took my version of the events. Am I able to review the report he took? I’m wondering if I should go in person to make a report with another officer? There are also street cameras where it happened so it should be documented. I guess I just want to make sure my events are accurately documented and not just his side of things. Has anyone had this happen to them? Thanks!
