Man, those prices are steep, especially for something that’s essentially a community-based app with social features. Citizen does offer some extra services like “Protect,” where you can have an agent monitoring your safety, but still, those prices seem high for what it offers.
For basic community updates, it feels like it should be more accessible, especially when the core idea is about safety and awareness. Charging $20 a month for what is essentially public information and basic social interaction feels a bit much, considering the app’s purpose is to help communities stay informed and safe.
This pricing model seems more about maximizing profit rather than just covering costs, which is frustrating when the app’s mission is to serve the community.
Edit: Rip my notifs, but yes, this app is dogshit.
