Shop NYC Top

So I landed this amazing remote job in Toronto but I’m still based in NYC and need to drive up there like twice a month minimum. We’re talking 350 miles each way so 700+ per trip through upstate NY winters and border crossings. But I just bought a co-op here or I’d move lol. I’ve got 70k to spend on something reliable that won’t murder me on gas or maintenance costs. Been eyeing everything from a Subaru Outback to maybe a certified Audi A4 Allroad or Lexus GX. My mechanic keeps saying Toyota but their interiors are kinda meh for 6+ hour drives. Anyone here done regular cross-border commuting or have thoughts on what rides can handle this kind of beating. And I need to park bleh lol
