I have long had a love affair with NYC – I’m lucky enough to be able to get there for work 2-3 times a year, and I never want to leave. There’s talk at work of a potential transfer from here (Sydney, Australia), which I’d be really interested in progressing with. But… we have the news here. And from the outside looking in, it looks like the USA is completely falling apart. But when I’ve been in NY (compared to when I’ve had to go to Atlanta, Denver, Chicago), it always feels like it operates in its own bubble and doesn’t really concern itself with what’s going on at a national level, or perhaps put differently – doesn’t let it effect them. Would that be a fair assessment?
