I had fallen asleep on my bed with my nightstand lamp still on. I felt something in my hair in my sleep and I think I may have swiped at it half-awake a few times. Then I felt it on my face and I jerked awake to see a roach (I think maybe a german cockroach, it was smaller and narrower) on my pillow. Every fiber in my being wanted to scream and throw up but instead I very calmly got a tissue and grabbed the mfer, took it to the bathroom and squished it while spraying with stem bug killer.
I am so glad I caught it so that I’m not anxious knowing there’s a live roach in my bed somewhere but I’m still freaked and wide awake now and my skin is crawling. Reluctant to lie back in my bed even though that’s the only place to lay in my tiny studio apartment (no couch or anything). Should I be worried this is a bigger problem?? This has never happened and I’ve never seen roaches in my bed area at all in my 4 years since I’ve been in this apartment. My building has monthly extermination that I always sign up for, and I also always have traps set out (the liquid hot shot ones). I’ve only ever seen either a small live one or a big dead one in the kitchen, bathroom, or by the front door like once a month, usually after the monthly extermination. Never had worse encounters than that until THE WORST tonight. Words of sympathy (and/or advice) please!!!
