Looking for NYC recs to celebrate w my husband who just beat cancer!

I’m taking my husband, who just beat cancer, to NYC for 1 week in October to celebrate! I would love some recommendations for local favorites for restaurants, cafes, daytime activities, shopping, activities in NYC.

Thank you all!

Dates: October 18 – 26th Staying: in Park Slope Who we are: Couple in our mid/late 30s coming from Los Angeles.

Budget: If people can provide a mix of budgets that would be great!

Restaurants: Mix of hole in the wall to $$ priced (up to $60 per person without drinks). a place I’ve gone to before was Masalawala & Sons which was delicious and in a reasonable price range. Activities: up to $150 per person

Interests/Recs I’m looking for:

Shopping – vintage, second hand looking for curated vintage stores with a focus on unique pieces. And independent shops (I was recommended Tumbao https://www.instagram.com/tumbao.world/?hl=en and Awoke Vintage in Williamsburg). Any more spots for vintage/second-hand or independent boutiques would be great! Museum/Galleries outside of the MET Pleasant neighborhood to walk around that has things to do (museum/gallery, shopping, cafe, restaurants, etc). **Jazz bars: (**Prefer smaller, more intimate venues with a good local vibe. I’ve been to Bar LunÀtico which I liked!) Bookstores: smaller indie bookstores Restaurant recs! We eat everything! [recommendations I’ve gotten so far are: Fini Pizza in east village, L’Artusi, Mama’s Too, Win Son, L’Industrie, Superiority Burger, sandwiches from Court St Grocers) Cafe & Coffee: Winner in park slope looks pretty good and Golda in Bed Stuy.
