Context: I’m a transplant but I’ve been living in the same building for 9 years. I’ve never made noise complaints because it’s NYC, so shit is loud. And it’s part of the culture.

However, my super has a rooster in the backyard of our apartment building. My bedroom looks over the backyard. So every fucking morning I have to hear that bitch crowing. It’s been silent over the past week thanks to the cold weather and snow, so my super had the rooster and the hens locked up. But now, since it’s warmed up, he’s let them out again.

And that bitch has been crowing non-stop. It’s like every 30 minutes. If I miss my alarm, I don’t have to worry about the snooze button because that annoying ass rooster wakes me up.

So what should I do? Should I speak to him first (my super) or make a complaint? I think I’ll try him first since I don’t want to be a Karen. But fuck, bro. It’s so loud
