My neighbor is throwing a party at 5AM with full on music blasting, people yelling and singing, etc. It’s in a closed off courtyard but there are multiple units facing it. What can I do? Can I call the police?

UPDATE: As people suggested, I called 311. They sent the police over about 1.5hrs later but apparently they were unable to get into the apartment building (the party was in the inner courtyard) so they weren’t helpful. I’m glad it’s on record though.

As for me, while I enjoyed and appreciated the other recommendations like telling them to STFU or throwing eggs and other smelly things at them, I’m a small woman and I didn’t want to provoke them. They were grown ass adults in their 30-40s, and if they still had so little respect for others that they woke the whole damn neighborhood up with their drunk singing and yelling on a Tuesday 5am, who knows what else they’re capable of.

Seriously though, who raised these people?
