Hi all. I know this has been posted before, so if anyone can help find the older posts, please link them.

I recently came into posession of a 1950’s era restaurant guide. The restaurants all have neighborhoods listed, with some being familiar to me, such as Murray Hill, Gramercy, Chelsea, and Whitehall.

However, lots of the restaurants are in neighborhoods I have never heard of, such as Endicott, El Dorado, Chickering, Judson, Templeton, and Oregon, just to name a few.

Does anyone have any information about these obselete neighborhood names, or any resources where I can read more about this?
