I work at a small architectural firm in NYC that’s normally fully in-office (no hybrid).
All our files are on Google Drive and accessible remotely, and we regularly work from personal devices when on job sites, so remote access isn’t really an issue.
Today the city issued a travel ban due to snow. Trains were technically running but with major delays. We were told to either come in by 9am as usual or take PTO — no WFH option.
Am I unreasonable for thinking we should’ve been allowed to work from home for the day? Is this typical for small NYC firms?
