This is for those of us who lived elsewhere in the US before relocating to NYC (or otherwise have nostalgic ties to another state).

For a city that has everything, it kind of misses out on stuff other parts of the US that are typically only found regionally or in that state only (for logistical and/or market driven reasons). What’s something that’s common and enjoyed where you’re from that you can’t find sold locally in the city?

For me, it’s boiled peanuts and Milo’s sweet tea. It’s also difficult (but not impossible) to find king cakes too.
