What’s the worst police treatment you experienced?

Yesterday night I go to a police precinct to file a complaint about a personal incident. When I get there a cop rudely asks me what I’m doing here. I tell him the reason then he says in a loud voice that I need to follow the steps to do that then shouts to get behind a red line and to wait until someone comes to help me. This shocked me cuz I never thought cops were this disrespectful.

The place had like 14 cops walking around, most of them weren’t doing anything but standing and talking to other cops. While I was waiting, I notice 3 cops telling ultra obscene sexual jokes among themselves which offended my female cousin who was with me. Anyway, after waiting a long while to be seen, a cop comes up to me and asks what I’m doing here. After telling him, he turns around and walks away without saying a word. My cousin tells me we should leave, it was that bad.

Another cop comes up to us and says they can’t help us even though we tell him we were told by a city agency to get a report. He rolls his eyes at us then says we should return some other day. Before we ask when to return, we get ignored again. About 10 minutes later another cop steps forward and says to return in 3 days. He was nice, not rude.

I notice other citizens there also being ignored by cops. Two of them got so mad. Then other cops got involved in this back and forth drama with them. It was a big mess.

The whole atmosphere was so highly charged with so much negativity I felt it the moment I stepped foot inside the precinct. I kid you not. I’ve never experienced such lack of professionalism before in my life. They treated us like animals. We were highly disrespected and treated like pure criminals.

I’d like to know if you guys had similar experiences with cops and how you dealt with it.
