I found an injured pigeon on Pier 35 last night, it couldn’t fly but had no obvious injuries or anything, just flapping its wings and crying whenever someone passed by.
This morning he passed away in my arms, he might’ve been old for all I know too, but now I have a little pigeon body I’m not sure what to do with.
I know I can’t exactly bury him in a park and all other internet instructions say to dispose of it double bagged in the trash. Is there any other way to go about this, is there a vet or rescue I could trust to cremate him?
Update: Wild Bird Fund was extremely kind and wrapped him in some newspapers and took him for cremation. Thank you for the all the suggestions, the real ones and the questionable ones too.
