Where to take visiting mom when she’s been EVERYWHERE?

My mom is coming to visit me for a few days in early August, but I’ve lived here for almost 20 years and we. have. visited. everything. Every major museum in Manhattan, every major tourist attraction, every bridge, every park, all the way from Coney Island to the New York Botanical Gardens. We’ve been to the Transit Museum and The Merchant’s House Museum and the American Folk Art Museum and the Cloisters and the Neue. We have been to every zoo.

So, please give me your deep cuts mom visit recommendations! Can be anywhere, but South Brooklyn would be especially appreciated. Activities and attractions are both good. She’s not big on theater. Loves history. Loves to walk around and look at stuff. Likes a good drink. She’s 70, but she hikes every day and is generally fit and healthy — however, she’s from the desert and she does also mostly drive for transportation at home, so NYC summer humidity and levels of walking can still be tiring for her after long periods.

Thank you in advance!

EDIT: omg thank you all! I know what we’re doing for the next 20 years of visits 🙂 I read this whole thread to my mom and she also thanks you — she wants to go to Governor’s Island, Mermaid Spa + Cyclones game, and she really wants to go to Untermyer Gardens and Queens Night Market so we’ll see!
