I recently went to JFK to pick up my GF from an international flight. The amount of taxi scammers preying on tourists was disgusting. I swear there were more than a dozen just standing in the middle of the pathway. Some of them even had fake walkie-talkies. Some were dressed in blazers. They were all men but I even saw one woman who was in on it, presumably to appear less suspicious to tourists. Why don’t NYPD or airport authorities do something about this? Is it really that hard to have a cop come by occasionally to tell them to get lost?
