And the federal government will be breathing down his neck every step of the way. Trump will likely make thwarting Mamdani one of his personal projects, then his first term (if he doesn’t get a second) will just be him fighting with the feds. It literally can not become a socialist city with those guardrails in place. It makes it seem like people just don’t like the vibe shift.
