Hi everyone. I’ve lived in NYC for a couple years, but I’ve recently developed an avoidance (fear?) of the subway because of a really bad experience I had (a man coming up to me saying he was going to kill me, then following me when I got off at the next stop to switch cars). I know, I know, you have to learn to deal with it, but this has shaken me up pretty bad and I don’t know what to do about it. I had no problem previously bc I travel mostly during rush hour and feel safety in numbers, but this happened in a completely full car, so that comfort is no longer there. How do I get over this? I commute every day for work, so ubering and taxi are absolutely not an option, or at least not one I can afford.
