I live in a residential neighborhood in NYC. My block has been almost completely taken over my mobile detailers. 3-5 days per week there are four detailer vans from different businesses that set up cones, set up tents and wash and detail a bunch of cars. Some of them are people who live on the block but others are people who didn’t even live on my street. It started within the last year or so and it’s really annoying because I can’t park in front of my own house, takes away space from the kids who used to play outside, and is just an eyesore. I’m also concerned about the runoff of chemicals into the grass and onto the street.
