Everyone talks about rent and roaches and the subway smell. But no one told me about the sheer volume of scaffolding that just never comes down. I’ve lived on the same block for three years and the same tubes have been up the entire time. No visible construction. Just eternal gloom. Also the way people will absolutely run into you if you stop walking for even half a second to check your phone. What’s something that caught you off guard after you moved here that isn’t in the typical complaint threads?
