Women of NYC — how do you feel about being cold-approached? Any places where it’s actually welcome?

Women of NYC — honest question.

How do you feel about being cold-approached by a guy in public (starting a normal conversation, not catcalling or being pushy)?

• Does it automatically annoy you? • Does context matter (time of day, location, vibe)? • What makes it feel respectful vs uncomfortable?

If you’re open to it sometimes, where does it feel the most natural or acceptable?

• Cafés? • Bookstores? • Parks? • Bars / happy hour? • Dog parks? • Gyms (or never gyms)?

I’m trying to understand boundaries better and not be that guy who makes people uncomfortable. Genuinely curious what women actually prefer in NYC.

Appreciate any honest perspectives.
